Bitterroot Valley Shopping
Are there grocery stores in the area? This is one of our favorite questions we get on a regular basis. Yes, we have grocery stores! In fact we have a bunch of them.
Hamilton offers national chains like Albertson’s and Safeway, along with local options like Super1 and Hamilton Marketplace.
Darby has Peoples Market, a full grocery store with a deli and meat counter, and there’s Mr. T’s convenience store for snacks and supplies.
Stevensville offers another Super1 grocery store with everything you might need during your stay, while Victor offers another small, local market.
The majority of our guests travel to the Bitterroot Valley from the north and pass through Missoula, MT, which has 100,000 residents and offers unlimited grocery options, Costco, Walmart, etc., but we’d love you to consider shopping in the Bitterroot Valley to support our local economy.
Beyond grocery shopping you may want to check out all the small, locally owned retail shops in the charming communities of the Bitterroot Valley.
Each of our towns has a shopping district with a wide variety of specialty shops for clothing, souvenirs, antiques, sweet treats, and arts and crafts.
Many of these shops are operated by the owners, who always love to meet the visitors of the area. Stop by and say hello, you’ll be glad you did.
